The history of Yik Bee Trading Sdn Bhd began with the dreams
of a great man whose passion was filled with big dreams, a
vision and determination
– The Late Mr. Ong Seng Heng's (S. H. Ong) ambitions
Mr. S. H. Ong started his business in the year 1970 with the
name of Aik Bee Company mainly servicing customers from the
Mining Industries and Auto Industries. Mr. S. H. Ong gradually
built his business through his vast product knowledge in
the bearings industries with this tactful sales and
marketing skills. He established the company on solid
footing with his vast technical knowledge, support logistic
services and sincerity with honesty in his business
dealings.
The business grew steadily and Mr. S. H. Ong then decided to
expand and restructure his business from a sole proprietorship company
to a limited company and renamed it as “Yik Bee Trading Sdn
Bhd” in 1980. This marked an important milestone
for Yik Bee Trading Sdn Bhd!
Being an ambitious, enthusiastic and dynamic person, he is
passionate in his business and believed in having visions
ahead of times for his company. In 1988, he made a
decision to expand his business by starting his first branch
in Klang. He subsequently opened
another branch in Butterworth. Yet, this was not enough for
the visionary; Mr. S. H. Ong believed that investing in a
central warehouse
with computerised system is essential for
the company to prepare for the expansion plan. The new
warehouse cum sales office located at Segambut, Kuala Lumpur was officially opened in 1996 followed by the opening of the Seremban Branch in 1999 to serve the customers from southern region of
Peninsular Malaysia.
The late Mr. S. H. Ong understood well the importance of
training a dynamic and good successor in order to help the company grow and expand. He then
mentored his son, Mr. Richard Ong in all aspects of
Business, Finance, Moral Values, Management skills and etc. Mr. Richard Ong had been
trained and mentored well from rank and file, thus acquired
with great products knowledge and field experiences. Mr. Richard Ong took over the baton from Mr. S. H. Ong and
served as the Managing Director for Yik Bee Trading Sdn Bhd
after the demise of Mr. S. H. Ong in 2008.
Today, Yik Bee Trading Sdn Bhd owns 5 sales offices in
Peninsular Malaysia with 100 over employees servicing in all
major industries in Malaysia and with vast geographical
coverage. The Company is entering into
another new milestone in order to be competitive in this new
era. We pledge to our motto of
